Seagate Technology has had a tough 2015 thus far, with a 12% annual decline in revenues to $9.2 billion for the first three quarters of the year. A similar trend was observed by competing hard drive manufacturer Western Digital , with its revenues falling by 11% over the prior year period to $10.1 billion for the nine-month period ended September.
